Introduction
The ducted fume hood is a negative-pressure ventilation unit designed to protect the operator and laboratory environment. Room air is drawn through the front opening and continuously exhausted by the centrifugal blower to prevent contaminated fumes, vapors, toxic gases, aerosols and corrosive substances from spreading into the workspace. Polluted air can be purified by an active carbon filter before discharge through the duct to protect the outdoor environment.
