Description

Product Information
The Elektro-mag M 615 E laboratory centrifuge is an economy-class unit with a fixed-angle rotor and a capacity for 6 x 15 ml tubes. It reaches up to 5000 rpm and a maximum relative centrifugal force of 2515 x g. Tube carriers are made of ABS and the rotor head is polycarbonate, ensuring mechanical durability and safe operation. For Elektro-mag "E" models the stop button must be pressed to end operation; a rotor-stop sensor engages when the lid is opened to slow the rotor and terminate the run.

What is a Laboratory Centrifuge?
A centrifuge separates solution components by density using centrifugal force. Tubes are placed in a rotor driven by a motor; rotation forces denser components to the tube wall and pellet at the bottom while lighter fractions remain suspended.

Where are Laboratory Centrifuges used?
Laboratory centrifuges are standard equipment in academic, clinical and research laboratories. Typical applications include processing blood, isolating cells and subcellular fractions, and preparing samples for molecular biology, virology and protein analysis.

Advantages of the Elektro-mag Laboratory Centrifuge
  • Initial investment cost
  • Technical competence
  • Different features available depending on process needs
  • Ease of use
  • Built-in safety systems
