Description

Product Information
The Elektro-mag M 815 M laboratory centrifuge is an economy-class unit equipped with a 35° fixed-angle rotor for 8 x 15 ml tubes. It operates up to 5000 rpm with a maximum relative centrifugal force of 2515 x g. Tube nests are ABS hard plastic and the rotor is polycarbonate, providing chemical resistance and impact tolerance. The M variant features a programmable timer (1–15 min), automatic stop and a lid-lock with safety switch for secure operation.

What is a laboratory centrifuge?
A laboratory centrifuge separates components by density using centrifugal force. Samples contained in tubes are rotated at high speed so denser particles migrate outward and form a pellet while lighter components remain in the supernatant. This principle enables rapid fractionation of biological and chemical samples.

Where are laboratory centrifuges used?
Laboratory centrifuges are used in clinical, research and academic laboratories for applications such as blood separation, cell harvesting, organelle isolation, virus and protein purification, and nucleic acid extraction. They are standard equipment in biology, biochemistry and medical labs.

Advantages of the Elektro-mag Laboratory Centrifuge
  • Low initial investment cost for budget-conscious labs
  • Engineered for straightforward, reliable operation
  • Feature set matched to common sample-preparation workflows
  • Easy to operate and maintain
  • Safe working systems including lid lock and safety switch
