Description

Product information
The Elektro-mag M 415 E laboratory centrifuge is an economy-class benchtop unit equipped with a fixed-angle 35° rotor and a universal motor. It accepts 4 x 15 ml tubes and reaches up to 5000 rpm (max. 2515 x g), offering reliable basic separation performance for routine laboratory workflows. Tube nests are ABS hard plastic and the rotor is polycarbonate for safe, durable operation. The unit uses a manual stop button and includes a rotor-stop sensor activated when the lid is opened to slow and stop the rotor as a safety measure.

What is a laboratory centrifuge?
A laboratory centrifuge separates components of different densities in a liquid by applying centrifugal force. Samples are placed in tubes held by the rotor, which spins at high speed to force denser components to the bottom while lighter components remain toward the top, enabling rapid phase separation and sample preparation.

Typical applications
Laboratory centrifuges like the M 415 E are used in academic, clinical and research environments for tasks such as blood processing, cell sedimentation, microfiltration support, protein and nucleic acid preparation, and general sample clarification.
