Description

Product overview
HYDRA is a linear washing machine for vials and bottles of all sizes, suitable for plastic and oval containers on request. Designed for decontamination of containers for injectable products, HYDRA is built according to cGMP guidelines and pharmaceutical industry requirements. Washing cycles are adapted to container material and the product to be filled; machine configurations are customised with specific basket types and settings.

Production plant
IMA Life

Main capabilities and functions
  • High-pressure washing: special upper guide rail allows high-pressure wash without vibration or container movement.
  • Contamination control by design: complete segregation of process, utility and mechanical areas to minimise cross-contamination risk.
  • Breakage prevention: lever and spring-loaded telescopic overload system controls movements (including needle lift) to prevent vial breakage.
  • Zero dripping discharge: positive container discharge from baskets to prevent contaminated water dripping onto vials.
  • Careful unloading: vacuum-assisted positive unloading for unstable containers or high-speed operation.
  • Direct integration: direct connection to automatic feeding systems (depacking or inspection machines) or to conveyor lines.
  • Optional ultrasonic unit: ultrasonic bath available as an option for specific container types.

Sterility performance
HYDRA can achieve up to a 3-log endotoxin reduction for terminal sterilisation applications, supporting injectable products to reach required sterility levels when integrated into validated processes.

Media & gallery highlights
Includes machine video and product images demonstrating container feeding, basket loading, external and internal washing, drying and outfeed stages; media illustrate machine layout and basket handling sequences.

Notes
Multiple machine variants and basket sizes are available to match container diameters, heights and neck dimensions. Production capacity and sizing depend on selected basket type and machine model; additional container sizes processed by replacing baskets.
