Description
The Thorax belt AM-TX-02 is a postoperative chest support designed to stabilize the sternum and rib area after cardiac or thoracic surgery or traumatic fractures. It reduces the risk of wound dehiscence during coughing and supports safe breathing and early mobilization during rehabilitation.

Key product features
Our AM-TX-02 provides firm anterior stabilization using orthopaedic stays and a flat aluminium splint. The belt is manufactured in cotton fabric suitable for direct skin contact and layered with AirDistance II™ for breathability and waterproof performance. Non-elastic construction with durable polyamide buckles and a frontal fastening ensures reliable protection. Universal size can be trimmed to fit.

AirDistance II™: three-layer lamination with a self-gripping polyamide outer layer, off-loading EVA foam and a polyamide 3D spacer inner layer. Designed for high air permeability, low moisture absorption and to accept attachment of hard components. Waterproof.

Flat aluminum stays
Flat aluminium stays are made from a special alloy to provide stiffness with low weight. Ends are rounded to reduce tissue irritation. They do not conform automatically to body shape and require bending for individual anatomical adjustment.

Plastic stays
Plastic stays (polyamide, ABS or acrylic) are water- and sweat-resistant, washable without removal and provide lateral stabilization with a memory function to retain shape.
