Pediatric trunk vest FIX-T-01 is a two-piece dynamic TLSO consisting of a front section with zipper and an interchangeable back section offered in multiple support levels. The vest stabilizes the child’s trunk and enhances proprioceptive input for neurological and orthopedic management.

How it works
The vest comprises two parts: a standard front piece and interchangeable back panels that provide graduated support. The front section features a central zipper and Velcro closures (shoulder, crotch and lateral straps) for accurate fit and adjustment. The front is manufactured in thin colorful ActivePren™. A MEMORYcast™ back panel provides sagittal and frontal stabilization, reducing lateral bending. Continuous compression from the neoprene-based vest helps maintain thermal comfort and increases proprioceptive feedback. The product provides buoyancy for hydrotherapy but must not be used as a life preserver.

• I – COMPRESSION: Thin ventilated UniPren™ offering compression, temperature maintenance, pain reduction and proprioceptive input for neurological indications.
• II – MILD SUPPORT: UniPren™ with pockets for malleable aluminum stays; allows shaping to patient anatomy and delivers compression and paraspinal muscle support.
• III – HIGH SUPPORT: MEMORYcast™ thermoplastic panel providing increased stabilization for orthopedic applications.
• IV – HIGH FRONTAL SUPPORT: MEMORYcast™ panel configured for pronounced frontal support.

Materials and components

• ActivePren™: three-layer construction (two elastic jersey covers + neoprene foam core); soft, flexible, low-friction surface to reduce skin abrasion; stabilizing orthotic material.
• UniPren™: three-layer material with elastic polyamide outer cover (self-adhesive), neoprene foam core and elastic jersey inner cover; soft, flexible, self-adhesive to aid fit.
• MEMORYcast™: thermoplastic panel for heat molding; softens at approx. 60°C; properties similar to rigid nylon; biodegradable and reheatable/remoldable per clinician guidance.
• Aluminum stays: alloy providing stiffness with low weight; rounded ends to prevent tissue or product damage; available in various widths/thicknesses; can be pre-profiled or supplied flat and manually shaped.
