Overview
The Kaye absolute pressure transducer is a high-precision sensor engineered for autoclaves, steam sterilizers and Steam‑in‑Place (SIP) systems. It measures absolute pressure in parallel with temperature to support saturated steam validation and autoclave qualification. Optimized for direct integration with Kaye Validator systems (Kaye Validator AVS, Kaye Validator 2000), it requires no external power when wired to compatible Kaye equipment.

Why pressure measurement matters
Accurate pressure measurement alongside temperature is essential for steam sterilization validation. Pressure determines the boiling point and therefore the saturated steam temperature. Monitoring pressure verifies saturated conditions, helps detect leaks or vacuum faults and provides information on steam quality (steam-to-liquid ratio), all critical for validation and process control.

Calibration and temperature compensation
Pressure sensors are sensitive to temperature. For highest accuracy, calibration should be performed at the transducer's operating temperature; for autoclave use this commonly includes calibration at 121°C. Kaye pressure transducers used for autoclave validation are calibrated at operating temperatures and include temperature compensation to minimise measurement deviations under steam conditions.

Integration and usage
The transducer provides a voltage output compatible with Kaye Validator wiring (1 V to 5 V sensitivity range) and mounts directly to a 1.5 in Tri‑Clover flange. It is specified and calibrated across the full autoclave temperature range and is suitable for dynamic pressure measurement during validation and routine process monitoring.
