Description

Overview The Classic Line with two filters is a Class II biosafety cabinet designed for microbiological workflows in laboratories. It provides simultaneous protection for personnel, product and environment with HEPA 14 filtration and features TEC Suspend to reduce energy consumption when idle.

At a glance
  • Protection category: Personal protection, Product protection, Environmental protection
  • Application areas: Biotech & Life Sciences; Laboratory & Research; Food Industry; Hospital & Pharmacy
  • Standard compliance: DIN EN 12469

Key characteristics
  • Integrated UV unit — minimizes contamination risks and supports decontamination workflows
  • Electrically adjustable front panel — precise working height adjustment for improved ergonomics
  • Modbus RTU connection — simple integration into building management and laboratory automation systems
  • Temperature sensor in the working area — monitors local conditions to support reproducible processes
  • Turn&Touch operation — combined rotary and touch controls for intuitive, low-error operation
  • Sealed work opening — airtight closure at the access point to enhance operator and product safety

Functional principle In Class II safety cabinets with two HEPA filters, a portion of the filtered exhaust air is directed downward as a laminar "air stamp" to protect the product. Drawn-in room air forms an air curtain at the front panel and returns through the work surface slots to the recirculation system, ensuring operator protection while discharging particle-free exhaust air to minimize environmental contamination.

Requirements
  • Optimal protection for personnel, samples and cross-contamination control via HEPA filtration and controlled airflow
  • Safe handling of microbiological substances enabled by targeted airflow management and a sealed work opening
  • Energy-efficient, low-noise operation supported by TEC Suspend and intelligent control components
