Description

Overview
The claire® lh is a Class II biosafety cabinet integrating a liquid handling station for automated pipetting and controlled processing of toxic and non-toxic samples. It is designed to support reproducible laboratory workflows by combining HEPA 14 filtration, an ergonomic working height and a liquid handling workstation to protect operator, product and environment.

Applications
  • Biotech & Life Sciences
  • Laboratory & Research
  • Hospital & Pharmacy

Protection categories
  • Personal protection
  • Product protection
  • Environmental protection

Key characteristics & features
  • High-resolution touch display for control and monitoring of operating parameters
  • Ergonomic design with adjustable working height, compatible with 3-filter units
  • Intuitive pipetting workflow to reduce handling errors and accelerate routine tasks
  • HEPA 14 cartridge filter with noise-optimised design for comfortable working conditions
  • Modified three-part plate set for precise adaptation to different processes
  • Bright, dimmable LED lighting, glare-free and adjustable for precise work
  • Integrated liquid handling station enabling reproducible automated pipetting and reduced variability

Requirements
  • HEPA filtration and controlled airflow to ensure maximum safety for operators, products and environment
  • Integrated liquid handling station for safe processing of toxic and non-toxic samples; automation reduces cross-contamination and standardises workflows
  • Compliant with handling microbiological agents at safety levels S1 – S4

Functional principle
Class II cabinets use two HEPA filters: a portion of the filtered exhaust air is directed downward through the workspace as a laminar "air stamp" to protect the product. An "air curtain" forms at the partially opened front window with drawn-in room air; air is returned to filtration or recirculation through table-segment air slots, protecting the operator. Part of the exhaust air is returned to the laboratory via the exhaust filter free of particles and microorganisms, minimising the risk of contamination of the lab environment.
