Description

Overview
The mobile units Calistair R4000 and C300 reduce particle counts and eliminate pollutants as well as microorganisms in indoor air. The systems combine proprietary non-thermal catalysis with multi-stage filtration (activated carbon, HEPA H14 and coarse dust filters) and UV-activated catalysts to destroy over 99.8% of microbiological (viruses, bacteria, germs) and chemical contaminants. Self-regenerating catalysts ensure long-lasting decontamination and energy-efficient operation.

Application & Protection
Applications: Mechatronics & Medtech
Protection categories: Personal protection; Product protection; Environmental protection

Key characteristics
  • Non-thermal catalysis: Effectively eliminates microorganisms and contaminants without using heat or chemicals
  • Multi-stage filtration: Significantly reduces particle concentration and efficiently captures odors (activated carbon, HEPA H14, coarse dust filters)
  • Noticeably improved air quality: Creates a hygienic working environment with clearly enhanced air quality
  • Easy operation: Intuitive controls allow safe use without extensive training
  • Quiet operation: Operates silently, suitable for laboratory or clinical environments
  • Rapid deployment: Ready for use in a short time, ideal for flexible and immediate applications
  • Continuous monitoring: Constant control of operating parameters ensures consistent performance

Requirements
  • Protection from particles and microorganisms: Eliminates airborne particles, germs and microorganisms to protect personnel, products and the environment
  • Particle-free working conditions: Ensures controlled, highly particle-reduced environments required for sensitive processes
  • Rapid air decontamination: System decontaminates and purifies room air within a short time frame

Functional principle
The non-thermal catalysis process consists of three steps: contaminants are first captured by an adsorption medium, then destroyed on a UV-activated catalyst, and finally converted at room temperature. The adsorption medium acts like a sponge while UV light enhances the germicidal effect. The process produces only small amounts of water vapor and CO₂. HEPA H14 and coarse dust filters reduce particles, activated carbon filters remove odors, and the catalyst stage destroys chemical and microbiological contaminants.

Calistair models (high level)
  • Calistair R4000: Mobile unit with adjustable airflow and suitability for small to medium rooms
  • Calistair C300: Compact mobile unit for smaller rooms and lower airflow requirements
