Functional principle Class II cabinets use two HEPA filters. A portion of the filtered exhaust air is directed downward as a laminar air column to ensure product protection, while a front air curtain formed with room air and return slots in the work surface protects the operator. Particle-free exhaust air reduces contamination risk to the laboratory environment.
