OverviewThe CRVpro 2 is a two-stage rotary vane vacuum pump designed for laboratory and light industrial evacuation tasks. It features gas ballast, forced oil lubrication, an anti-suckback mechanism and thermal overload protection to support intermittent vacuum operations and protect the pump during normal use.
Applications- Freeze drying (lyophilization)
- Vacuum ovens
- Schlenk lines and glovebox backing
- Backing turbo-molecular pumps
- Degassing liquids and resins
- Vessel and chamber evacuation
Key features- Two-stage rotary vane design for improved ultimate pressure
- Gas ballast port for humidity and vapor handling
- Forced oil lubrication and larger oil capacity (450 ml) for chemical dilution
- Chemical-resistant coating on oil case and pump module for non-moving part protection
- Low noise level (≤50 dB(A) at 50 Hz)
- Max pumping speed: 2.5 m³/h (42 l/min); ultimate pressure: 3×10⁻4 mbar
Technical data (CRVpro 2)- Free air displacement @50 Hz: 2.5 m³/h (42 l/min)
- Free air displacement @60 Hz: 1.8 CFM (50 l/min)
- Pumping speed @50 Hz: 2.3 m³/h (38 l/min)
- Ultimate pressure (without gas ballast, partial): 3×10⁻4 mbar (2×10⁻4 Torr)
- Connection flange: DN16 KF
- Ambient operating temperature: 10 – 40 °C
- Noise level (50 Hz): ≤50 dB(A)
- Oil capacity: 450 ml
- Motor speed: 1140 / 1720 rpm (50/60 Hz)
- Motor power: 0.29 / 0.3 kW (50/60 Hz)
- Weight: 15 kg
- Dimensions (L × W × H): 384 × 138 × 211 mm (without handle)
Notes for users- Direct-drive rotary vane pumps are not recommended for continuous operation above ~30 torr or for filtration/aspiration processes that draw particulate matter.
- Use appropriate vacuum tubing and KF adapters to maintain performance; follow oil-change intervals and safety procedures for pumped vapors.
