Description
The ITGen test is intended for screening of feline calicivirus infection using specimens collected from the eye, nose or mouth. It facilitates early detection to enable separation of infected animals and reduce transmission risk. Results are shown as colored lines on the cassette and can be read without instruments.

How to use?

• Confirm kit contents and ambient temperature of 15–30°C before testing.
• Unseal the buffer tube and place it upright in the work area.
• Collect secretions with the swab from the cat's eye, nose, or mouth; rotate the swab at least 10 times.
• Insert swab into buffer tube, cap and mix thoroughly to release the specimen.
• Remove the cassette from the foil pouch and place on a clean, flat surface.
• Add three drops (~90 μl) of the processed specimen into the sample well (S) vertically.
• Read the result at 5–10 minutes. Results read after 15 minutes are invalid.

Interpretation of results

• Positive (+): Both C line and T line appear, regardless of T line intensity.
• Negative (-): Only a clear C line appears.
• Invalid: No colored line in the C region, regardless of T line appearance.
