The ITGen Feline Giardia Antigen Rapid Test is an in vitro immunochromatographic assay for qualitative detection of Giardia antigen in feline fecal or rectal swab specimens. The test uses colloidal gold-labelled antibodies to form a visible line when antigen is present, enabling rapid on-site screening without equipment.

Description
Designed for use in primary veterinary clinics or for initial on-site screening, monitoring and health checks. The antigen-based detection helps mitigate intermittent shedding issues associated with microscopy, increasing likelihood of detecting active infection and reducing false negatives.

How to use?

• Verify kit contents and ensure testing environment at room temperature (15–30°C).
• Unseal the extraction tube with buffer and place it upright.
• Collect fresh feces or rectal sample with the swab; insert into buffer and rotate >10 times.
• Cap the buffer tube, remove cassette from foil pouch and place on a flat surface.
• Add three drops (~90 μL) of the processed specimen vertically into the sample well (S) of the cassette.

Interpretation of Results

• Positive (+): Both C line and T line visible, including faint T line.
• Negative (-): Only clear C line visible.
• Invalid: No C line visible, regardless of T line; repeat test.
