Description

Dental Simulator for Training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (Le Fort I, II, and III)

The anatomical skull model (middle third of the face) with an articulated mandible by Nacional Ossos was developed to meet the needs of instructors, students, and professionals working in oral and maxillofacial surgery, facial trauma, implant dentistry, and prosthodontics. Ideal for hands-on classes, workshops, specialty courses, residency programs, and demonstrations (in-person or distance learning), this simulator allows for highly realistic training in the reduction and fixation of midface fractures.

Featuring highlighted Le Fort I, II, and III fracture lines, a maxillary sinus, nasal septum, interdental holes for fixation, and a support block, the model offers resistance similar to that of human bone and is compatible with real instruments and techniques (miniplates, screws, wires, guides, and fixation systems). This enables safe, repetitive, and ethical practice in line with best practices in bioethics and sustainability.

Educational Reference – Le Fort Classification (midface)

- Le Fort I: horizontal fracture of the maxilla (lower segment).
- Le Fort II (pyramidal): involves the infraorbital fissure and separates the maxillary/nasal structures from the orbital/zygomatic structures.
- Le Fort III (craniofacial disjunction): complete separation of the midface from the skull base, involving the naso-orbito-ethmoidal and zygomatic complexes.

Composition: 2 (two) parts

- Skull (middle third of the face) with buccal-maxillary cuts
- Articulated mandible
