Dental Simulator for Training in Periodontal Surgery and Oral Rehabilitation

The Nacional Ossos Periodontal Manikin was developed to meet the needs of instructors, students, and professionals working in implant dentistry, oral surgery, periodontics, and prosthetic rehabilitation. Ideal for hands-on training, workshops, in-person courses, and distance learning, this simulator allows for the practice of multiple surgical techniques on a single model, with a high degree of anatomical and mechanical realism.

Manufactured with properties similar to human bone (type 2), it features an upper and lower jaw that articulate at the premolar region, enabling the simulation of oral rehabilitation with vertical dimension. The model also allows the lower jaw to be replaced with an edentulous version (4010 T), facilitating rehabilitation training without vertical dimension—that is, from basic to advanced levels within the same setup.

The maxilla features teeth 11, 12, 14, 18, 24, 26, and 27, notably tooth 11 with an exposed and removable root apex, allowing for realistic simulation of periodontal surgery. There is also a recent extraction site with a defect in the buccal alveolar bone (tooth 13), a recipient site with bone resorption (teeth 21, 22, 23, and 25), and a maxillary sinus with a flexible membrane.

The mandible includes teeth 34, 31, 41, 42, 44, and 47, with a bone defect in the region of tooth 43 and an intact alveolus with granulation tissue in the region of tooth 32.
