Dental Simulator for Training in Oral Surgery and Extraction of Impacted Teeth
The anatomical cross-sectional skull model by Nacional Ossos was developed to meet the needs of instructors, students, and dental surgeons working in oral surgery, implant dentistry, and oral and maxillofacial surgery. Ideal for practical training, workshops, hands-on courses, clinical demonstrations, and blended learning, this simulator enables the practice of complex tooth extractions and surgical techniques with a high degree of realism.
Manufactured with mechanical properties similar to those of human bone (type 2), it features a maxilla with gingiva and a maxillary sinus with a flexible membrane, as well as anatomical structures such as the TMJ, zygomatic, auricular, and occipital bones.
The model includes:
- Impacted teeth 18 and 28
- Tooth 13 impacted in the palate
- Tooth 23 impacted in the buccal region
- Impacted teeth 38 and 48
All impacted teeth are encapsulated and radiopaque, allowing for radiographic planning and realistic simulation of procedures.
The mandible is also lined with a material that simulates soft tissue, enabling incision, dissection, and suturing. The articulated support allows for opening, closing, and tilting, ensuring that students can work with both hands.
It can be cut and drilled, allowing for repetitive, safe training that aligns with best practices in bioethics and sustainability.
Components:
- Maxilla
- Articulated mandible
- Polyurethane block simulating extraoral bone material
- Manikin stand
