Orthopedic Simulator for Training in Craniotomy, Craniectomy, and Cranial Osteosynthesis
The anatomical skull model with a removable skull cap and articulated jaw by Nacional Ossos was developed to meet the needs of instructors, students, and professionals in Orthopedic Trauma, Neurosurgery, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Ideal for practical training, workshops, hands-on courses, and clinical demonstrations, this simulator allows for the practice of cranial access procedures, trepanations (burr holes), mini-plate fixation, and cranioplasties with a high degree of realism, both in in-person classes and in distance learning.
With meticulously detailed external and internal anatomy—including the coronal suture, bregma, vertex, occiput, lambdoid suture, superior sagittal sinus sulcus, arterial and venous sulci, granular foveolae, cranial fossae (anterior, middle, and posterior), temporal region, body of the sphenoid bone, sella turcica, and resistance similar to that of human bone—the model allows for the performance of procedures using real surgical instruments.
It provides safe, repetitive training aligned with best practices in bioethics and sustainability.
