OverviewThe mammography accreditation phantom for digital mammography is designed to assess the performance and image quality of full-field digital mammography (FFDM) systems. It enables testing of the detector's ability to reproduce small structures representative of breast tissue: microcalcifications, fibers and simulated masses.
General featuresIts full-detector coverage eliminates scattering effects and ensures a comprehensive assessment of system performance. The wax insert simulates a compressed breast of 42 mm thickness, with a composition equivalent to 50% glandular and 50% adipose tissue.
Usage and contentsThis phantom is intended for quick and reliable quality control tests and can be used routinely to verify the overall performance of a mammography system. It is supplied with a transport case and a user manual containing test instructions, result evaluation and recording procedures.
