Labotemp Asphalt Ignition Furnace LBC-101 is a laboratory-grade system for rapid, solvent-free determination of asphalt binder content in hot mix asphalt (HMA) samples using the ignition method. The unit integrates a high-accuracy balance and automated endpoint detection to deliver repeatable binder content results with up to 0.10% accuracy. Performance and operation
The LBC-101 features precise temperature control with a standard test temperature of 538°C and a maximum chamber temperature up to 800°C for effective binder burn-off. Secondary combustion and exhaust filtration reduce emissions, while robust thermal insulation improves energy efficiency and keeps external surface temperatures low.
