Antigen backgroundBcl-6 is a proto-oncogene encoding a Krüppel-type zinc-finger transcription factor (~95 kDa). Expression is principally observed in germinal-center B cells and in related lymphomas. Chromosomal rearrangements at 3q27 involving Bcl-6 have been reported in non-Hodgkin lymphomas and are detected in approximately 33–45% of diffuse large B-cell lymphomas. Immunohistochemistry frequently demonstrates Bcl-6 nuclear expression in follicular lymphoma, diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, Burkitt lymphoma and nodular lymphocyte‑predominant Hodgkin disease.
Intended use / DisclaimerThis Bcl-6 Oncoprotein reagent is supplied for the detection of Bcl-6 antigen in normal and neoplastic tissues as an adjunct to conventional histopathology using non-immunologic histochemical stains. Follow the regulatory status indicated per SKU. Not for therapeutic use.
