Description
The PC 3004 VARIO select pumping unit precisely controls vacuum level through stepless pump speed regulation to deliver stable process conditions. Its high pumping speed and low ultimate vacuum make it suitable for demanding applications using high‑boiling solvents. The integrated VACUU·SELECT controller offers application‑based operation: manual set‑point control for simple tasks, fully automated distillations, or custom sequences via drag‑and‑drop editing. During solvent evaporation, VACUU·SELECT continuously detects the boiling point and adapts vacuum set points to prevent bumping and foaming. The VARIO control algorithm maintains the required vacuum without running the motor faster than necessary, thereby reducing noise and extending maintenance intervals. The glass inlet separator with protective coating retains particles and droplets, protecting the pump. The exhaust vapor condenser enables near‑complete solvent recovery when used with chilled water or a recirculating chiller, supporting economical recycling and emissions reduction.
