The pigtype CSFV Erns Ab is a double antigen ELISA designed for the rapid and reliable detection of antibodies to the Erns protein of the Classical Swine Fever Virus (CSFV). This assay enables early identification of CSFV infection, regardless of the CSFV genotype, and is suitable for use outside the U.S. and Canada.

Classical Swine Fever Virus / Classical Swine Fever
CSFV belongs to the genus Pestivirus of the family Flaviviridae and causes severe and highly contagious disease in Suidae (e.g., domestic pig and wild boar). Classical swine fever (CSF) is of worldwide importance. Due to highly variable clinical symptoms, laboratory diagnostic methods are necessary for diagnosis. Animals infected with CSFV develop antibodies to different antigens, such as the viral envelope proteins Erns and E2.
