Product OverviewThe SARCOPTES-ELISA 2001 DOG is an Enzyme Immunoassay designed for the detection of IgG antibodies to Sarcoptes scabiei var. canis (the causative agent of sarcoptic mange) in serum and plasma samples from dogs. This test is considered the gold standard for reliable detection of Sarcoptes scabiei var. canis, a highly contagious skin disease in dogs caused by the sarcoptic mite. The disease leads to intense itching, irritation, and hair loss, and is often difficult to diagnose with conventional methods due to subclinical and chronic infections.
