Product OverviewThe FCoV-ELISA CAT is an enzyme immunoassay designed for the detection of IgG antibodies to Feline Coronavirus in serum and plasma samples from cats. Feline Coronavirus is the causative agent of Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), a viral disease in cats.
Features and Benefits- Ideally suited to replace the time-consuming and labor-intensive immunofluorescence antibody test (IFAT) commonly used in the diagnosis of Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP).
- Detects serotype I and serotype II targeted antibodies.
- High sensitivity of 96.5% and high specificity of up to 97.7% (validated with n = 651 characterized cat sera).
Workflow Efficiency- Ready-to-use reagents (Positive/Negative Controls, Conjugate, Substrate, Stop Solution).
- Color-coded caps.
- Interchangeable reagents between AFOSA assays.
- Microplate with 12 individual strips of 8 wells.
- All AFOSA ELISA kits use the same short protocol.
- Unified pipetting volume of 100 µl.
- Suitable for automated ELISA instruments.
