Overview The InfraLab Series 9 is an at-line analyzer designed to measure moisture and other key constituents in single- or multi-component configurations across food, tobacco and bulk industrial products. The instrument requires no special operator skills and provides analysis results in approximately 5 seconds.
Features & Benefits - Representative sampling: supports more representative process checks compared with smaller laboratory subsamples.
- Fast analysis: typical analysis time ~5 seconds to reduce routine sampling costs.
- Easy operation: intuitive touchscreen and simple sample handling.
- Production-hardened design: hygienic exterior, pass-code protected user access and rugged build for production areas.
- Environmental robustness: measurements tolerant to changes in temperature, relative humidity and lighting.
- Flexible configurations: available for single- or multi-component measurement sets.
Applications InfraLab At-Line Food Analyzer: measurement of moisture, fat/oil, protein, degree of bake, degree of roast and similar constituents in animal feed, breakfast cereals, cheese, chocolate, coffee & tea, confectionery, cookies & biscuits, maize wet milling, crackers & crispbreads, dairy powders, flour & grain, seeds, meat, nuts, olive oil extraction, potato chips, snacks, spices, starch and sugar.
InfraLab At-Line Industrial Analyzer: measurement of moisture in building & construction materials, ceramics & clay, chemicals, detergents, fertilizers, fibers & polymers, industrial textiles, minerals, nitrocellulose, organic waste & biofeed, pharmaceuticals & nutraceuticals, wood & cellulose products.
InfraLab At-Line Tobacco Analyzer: measurement of moisture, nicotine, total sugars, total volatiles, glycerol, propylene glycol and methanol in GLT, primary & strips, blended strips, re-dried cut lamina, final blend, WTS, CRS, re-dried stem, expanded tobacco, roll-your-own tobacco, pipe tobacco and cigar filler.
Replace Laboratory Methods The InfraLab Series 9 is intended as a routine replacement for loss-on-drying, Karl Fischer and gravimetric moisture tests and as an alternative to chemical methods for fat or protein analysis (e.g., Soxhlet, Weibull-Stoldt, Kjeldahl) after calibration to reference methods. Benefits include speed, minimal sample preparation and the ability to analyse larger, more representative samples.
How it Works The analyzer uses multi-wavelength NIR reflection for non-contact analysis. A sample pan is placed on a turntable; sample detection and analysis start automatically. Onboard storage holds up to 100,000 sample files. Data export options include encrypted USB and Ethernet for PC/LIMS integration; user access controls and calibration tools are included.
