The kit has been designed for the quantitative determination of Anti-Miillerian Hormone (AMH) in human serum.
The method can be used for samples over the range of 0.07-25 ng/mL.

AMH is a dimeric glycoprotein with a molar mass of 140 kDa. The molecule consists of two identical subunits linked by sulfide bridges, and characterized by the N-terminal dimer (pro-region) and C-terminal dimer. AMH acts with receptors, AMH-RI andAMH-RII, upon which, after a series of conformational changes and phosphorylation steps, gene expression is regulated in the cell.

SUMMARY AND EXPLANATION OF THE TEST
The Anti-Miillerian Hormone is a substance secreted by the granulosa cells in the developing egg sacs (ovarian follicles). When a woman grows older, her number of ovarian follicles begins to decrease; therefore, the amount of AMH in the blood decreases. A woman who has very few remaining follicles will have low AMH levels and is close to menopause. A woman who has many small ovarian follicles — a condition known as polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) — typically has high levels of AMH. The AMH test (Anti-Miillerian Hormone) is a blood test to help assess a woman's ovarian reserve. The test measures the levels of AMH in a woman's blood and is helpful in determining whether a woman has premature ovarian aging (diminished ovarian reserve) or premature ovarian failure.
