What does shoulder dislocation mean?
A shoulder dislocation occurs when excessive force separates the humeral head from the glenoid, often associated with ligament and joint capsule damage. Clinically it presents with acute pain, swelling, instability and reduced range of motion. Immediate immobilization with an appropriate sling such as AM-SOB-02 is commonly required before definitive treatment.

What is Shoulder Immobilizer AM-SOB-02?
The AM-SOB-02 pediatric sling is designed to immobilize the upper limb while providing compression and impact absorption to support recovery. The device is manufactured using ActiveDistance™, a three-layer laminated construction featuring EVA foam with a non-elastic polyamide layer and a comfort cotton surface. The self-gripping system allows precise adjustment and secure fixation. ActiveDistance™ is non-elastic to limit unwanted motion and is waterproof for practical clinical use.

Design and application
The open sling design enables rapid, straightforward application. An arm strap secures the limb close to the trunk to limit movement and rotation. Shoulder straps form an X-pattern across the back to ensure immobilization without pressure on the neck. The product is ambidextrous and suitable for left or right-sided injuries.
