Why upright posture is so important?
Upright position is very important for everyone. It improves breathing, blood circulation, sensory and digestive system. In lying child there is a high risk of bedsores, pneumonia and bones weakness.

It doesn’t matter if the child suffers from orthopaedic, neurological or cardiologic conditions. Upright posture among children with limited motion allows to improve social, functional and emotional skills. The standing position facilitates communication with peers, improves visual perception and motor activity and stimulates bone growth.

What is the kids knee immobilizer AM-TUD-KD-02?
Knee immobilizer AM-TUD-KD-02 with kneecap maintains the knee in extension. Three anatomically contoured aluminium splints stabilize the leg. Additional knee support controls patellar movement and stabilizes weak and injured knee in upright position.

ActiveDistance III™
ActiveDistance III™ is an active 3-layered non-elastic fabric made of a self-gripping polyamide layer, comfort foam and a soft outer fabric. The non-elastic construction stabilizes the limb, comfort foam increases softness and the outer layer helps to keep the skin dry.

Design and adjustment
Four circumferential straps allow adjustment of required compression according to therapeutic needs. The kneepad is supported by cross straps which improve and control the upright position. The device is easy to attach and provides a wide range of circumferential adjustment.

Size 1 — Distance between knee joint interstice and groin (A): min 18 cm | Thigh circumference 10 cm above patella (B): 25–30 cm | Calf circumference 10 cm below patella (C): 20–25 cm | Typical age: 2–3 years
Size 2 — A: min 21 cm | B: 30–35 cm | C: 25–30 cm | Typical age: 3–8 years
Size 3 — A: min 25 cm | B: 35–40 cm | C: 30–35 cm | Typical age: 7–12 years
