Humeral fracture (context)
A humerus fracture is a break of the upper-arm bone and can occur near the shoulder, at the shaft, or near the elbow. In children, these fractures are common after falls or high-activity incidents and require professional stabilization adapted to paediatric anatomy. FIX-KG-22 is developed specifically for immobilization of paediatric humeral injuries.

Product’s description
FIX-KG-22 consists of anatomically shaped shoulder and arm shells made of lightweight ABS (external and internal shells), inner soft fabrics and a circumferential chest strap. Arm shells are perforated to allow cooling airflow. The 3D orthopedic shell system includes swivel buckles and cut-outs for circumferential straps. Velcro fastening points allow attachment of soft pressure-relief cushions.

Materials and comfort systems
Internal shell surfaces are lined with Active3D™ thermoformed closed-cell fabric, which reduces pressure and abrasion, is waterproof, does not absorb sweat and is easy to clean. The chest strap is soft, adjustable and includes an armpit pressure-relief cushion made of SoftComfort™ foam with a perforated cover to improve ventilation. Materials comply with Oeko‑Tex and REACH standards.

Functional notes
FIX-KG-22 provides professional immobilization for humeral injuries, offers soft tissue compression while preventing distal migration, and serves as a lighter, more hygienic alternative to traditional plaster casts for children. Velcro closures enable safe, quick fitting. The design allows use on either the right or left arm.
