PEDIATRIC ELBOW ORTHOSIS WITH ROM ADJUSTMENT AND HAND SUPPORT
FIX-KG-20 is a pediatric elbow orthosis designed to immobilize the elbow and support the forearm and wrist after forearm fractures. It integrates a 1R-01 magnetic drop-lock for adjustable range of motion and an integrated hand support that limits pronation and supination to maintain a neutral position.

Forearm fractures in children
Forearm injuries in children commonly affect the radius and ulna and may result from falls during play or sports. Many fractures are treated non-surgically but require immobilization of both the elbow and wrist to ensure correct healing and reduce the risk of malunion or joint instability.

Product's description
FIX-KG-20 provides controlled immobilization of the elbow and forearm. The anatomic, lightweight splint offers stable fixation while maintaining comfort for pediatric patients. The drop-lock 1R-01 enables ROM adjustment in 15° increments without additional tools; adjustments use removable steel pins and a magnet for fast setup. The integrated hand support reduces forearm rotation and maintains neutral alignment during treatment and rehabilitation.

1R Orthodesign adjustment system
The 1R Orthodesign system allows angle adjustment in 15° steps within a compact mechanism (≤ 30 mm diameter). Adjustment is performed via removable steel rivets (extracted with the supplied magnet). A ratchet locking ring prevents unintended readjustment. An oval underside element permits attachment of soft 3D side cushions. Minor individual shaping is possible with an orthopedic key following manufacturer instructions.

Material - UniPren™
Soft components are made of UniPren™: a three-layer material with an external elastic polyamide knit featuring a self-adhesive surface, a neoprene foam core and an inner elastic jersey. UniPren™ is flexible, minimizes skin impressions, reduces abrasion risk in high-compression areas and is waterproof for daily activities and showering.

Usage and fastening
Wrap-around Velcro straps allow quick application and removal. A dedicated sling supports the upper limb while avoiding compression of the wrist and hand. FIX-KG-20 is suitable for day and night stabilization; adjustable ROM helps preserve physiotherapy gains and prevents muscle contractures.
