The FIX-KD-32 is an open pediatric knee brace equipped with an innovative drop lock that allows range-of-motion adjustment in 15° increments and immobilization at 0°. The mechanism features magnet-assisted removable rivets and a ratchet locking ring to prevent accidental readjustment. The device is certified by recognized institutes for quality and safety.

Material
The brace is made from AeroSpace™ distance-elastic 3D knitted fabric composed of polyester (mechanical strength) and spandex (elasticity), with a soft, skin-friendly inner layer. The knit structure ensures low weight, high flexibility and breathability to promote sweat drainage and airflow while providing compression and fit.

Design and function
The wrap-around design accommodates circumferential differences between thigh and calf. Two circumferential straps (rear and frontal) provide additional stabilization and compression. Aluminium lateral splints are anatomically shaped to reduce pressure on bony prominences and are lightweight. The 1R orthodesign drop lock enables immobilization at 0° and angle adjustment in 15° steps; some splints allow slight manual bending for improved fit.
