Description
The AM-D-05 is a finger splint designed for boxer’s fractures affecting the neck of the 4th and/or 5th metacarpal. It stabilizes metacarpophalangeal and interphalangeal joints of the 4th and 5th fingers and supports rehabilitation and post‑operative care. The device features a ROM‑adjustable polyamide splint removable via an open channel and adjusted using an Allen key.

Construction and components
The wrap-around design ensures fit for various hand shapes and sizes. The brace comprises a circumferential hand strap with thumb stabilization, two forearm straps and finger tapes. Straps are easy to position and fasten. Main fabric: AeroSpace™ for comfort and breathability.

Materials and technology
AeroSpace™
AeroSpace™ is a distance-elastic 3D knitted fabric with two facing layers and an interlacing that provides thickness and relief. Made of polyester yarn for strength and spandex for flexibility. The material is lightweight, breathable and allows effective sweat drainage.

Stiffening elements
Finger support consists of injection-molded polyamide elements and stainless steel with angular adjustment of individual phalanges. ABS stays prevent fabric wrinkling and uncontrolled movement. Plastic stays (polyamide, ABS or acrylic) are water- and sweat-resistant, provide lateral stabilization, and have a memory function; they are washable.
