Breathable thumb splint AM-OSN-U-22 designed for treatment and immobilization of thumb injuries (sprains, ligament injuries and other soft tissue damage). The wrap-around design offers universal sizing and fits both hands. The splint provides effective immobilization while remaining more comfortable than a traditional plaster cast.

Materials
ActiveSpace™: a spacer, polyamide 3D lamination with high skin ventilation; lightweight, non-elastic, two-layer construction with polyamide braids between layers; permits air flow, minimal water and moisture absorption and is waterproof.

UniPren™: a 3-layer material with an external elastic polyamide cover knit with self-adhesive function, an internal neoprene foam core and an elastic jersey inner cover knit; soft, highly flexible, prevents imprinting on skin and abrasions in high compression areas; self-adhesive function simplifies use.

Stiffening
Flat aluminum stays made of a special aluminum alloy provide proper stiffness with minimal weight; rounded ends to prevent product damage; stays can be pre-profiled or flat and require individual bending to adapt to the patient when necessary.
