Arm sling MASTER-03

Overview
Neuro brace MASTER-03 is an orthosis for management of upper limb paresis. The brace corrects and stabilizes forearm, arm and shoulder position, relieves pain, protects shoulder structures and supports proper limb alignment. Early rehabilitation using motor patterns supported by MASTER-03 may improve recovery outcomes.

Clinical background
Stroke leading to hemiplegia commonly causes weakness on one side of the body (paresis) and may present with various syndromes including:

• gait impairment
• balance problems
• reduced grip function
• increased muscle tone or spasticity
• muscle spasms

Another common cause of upper limb paresis is brachial plexus injury after trauma, which can produce weakness, loss of motor control and sensory deficit of the arm and hand.

The neuro brace MASTER-03:

• corrects forearm, arm and shoulder joint position
• stabilizes the shoulder joint
• reduces pain
• helps prevent damage to shoulder joint structures, muscles, tendons and nerves
• maintains correct limb positioning during rehabilitation

Purpose of use

• hemiplegia following stroke
• brachial plexus injury
• shoulder, neck or head injuries (e.g. humeral head dislocation)

Sizes / How to measure
Size and measurement details:

• M — arm circumference 25–33 cm; chest circumference up to 115 cm
• L — arm circumference 33–40 cm; chest circumference up to 130 cm

Right and left specific. Arm length M–L: 27 cm. Refer to measurement image for correct positioning.
