Upper-extremity support OKG-12 is a short hand device designed to maintain the hand in an extended, neutral position. It is intended for prevention and control of hand spasticity following neurological events such as stroke and for other neurological conditions. The splint is made of lightweight, thermoformed ABS and covered with skin-friendly fabric ActiveDistance™. The ABS thermoformed shell is extremely lightweight and comfortable and includes perforations for airflow and skin breathability.

Design & features
An anatomic-shaped fingerboard maintains the hand in neutral, extended position. Fingers are stabilized by individual Velcro straps allowing independent adjustment for each finger. The splint is equipped with metatarsal and wrist strap for improved stabilization. Full palm stiffening is anatomically designed and covers both right and left hands with cutouts for elastic straps; perforation system from the bottom of the palm ensures ventilation.

Materials
ActiveDistance™ is a 3-layered technical off-loading lamination made of EVA foam double-sided laminated with non-elastic polyamide. ActiveDistance™ is non-elastic (self-gripping), provides a wide range of adjustment and perfect fitting, uses comfort foam for softness and is waterproof.
