Overview
The ASYMTEK Select Coat SL-1040 is a high-throughput conformal coating system designed for selective coating of electronic assemblies. It integrates an ultrasonic cleaning station, advanced valve configurations and ASYMTEK EasyCoat 6 software to maximise uptime, repeatability and first-pass yield.

The SL-1040 introduces a programmable Ultrasonic Cleaning Station (patent pending) that removes nozzle and needle-tip build-up by cavitation without mechanical brushing. The cleaning station communicates with a self‑leveling solvent system to maintain solvent level automatically and provide configurable refill notifications and grace periods.

Ultrasonic cleaning and maintenance
The ultrasonic cleaning station is fully programmable via EasyCoat 6 and can run at operator‑defined times (for example: before idle, at program start, after idle, or periodically). When a valve tip is inserted, the cleaning cycle agitates solvent via high‑frequency pressure waves to remove deposits that static cleaning cannot address, reducing unplanned downtime.

Supported fluids
The system supports low‑viscosity solvent‑based fluids (~25–125 cps) and medium‑viscosity/higher‑solid fluids (~125–1200 cps), depending on trim package and valve selection.

Software and integration
ASYMTEK EasyCoat 6 provides programming, cleaning schedule management and preventive‑maintenance controls. The platform integrates with ASYMTEK applicators such as the SC‑450 PreciseCoat Jet and offers options for flow and viscosity control.
