PRINCIPLE To the P.A.S. reaction that, in pituitary gland, exhibits the granules of basophil cells and some granules of "gamma cells" (according to Pearse) is added an anionic dye (Orange G) for the démonstration of acidophil cells granules ("alpha cells" according to Pearse).
