Overview
The FLEX SWILE solution enables fully automated one-to-one gravimetric pick & decision-dispense of solids (ligands, catalyst precursors, catalysts) into reaction screening plates for matrix-to-matrix catalyst screening. It combines Chemspeed's overhead gravimetric dispensing tool with an on-deck analytical balance to achieve high-accuracy gravimetric feedback and decision-based dispensing.

Technology & key process elements
The system uses disposable glass SWIN tips to eliminate cross-contamination. SWIN tips come in multiple diameters and are adjustable to target dispense amounts. A tilt/shake rack loosens and tilts solids before pick-up to ensure reliable transfer. The overhead gravimetric dispenser is paired with a secondary on-deck balance to enable decision-dispense and unattended operation.

Workflow

• Read barcode of catalyst precursor or ligand source
• Transport source vial to tilt/shake rack
• Loosen solid compound by tilting/shaking
• Gravimetric pick & decision-dispense into catalyst screening plates
