OverviewSolid compound distribution into formulation screening plates is often manual, time-consuming, repetitive and error-prone; fractional compositional mapping in the μg/mg range is typically not achievable manually. The SWILE technology provides a fully automated one-to-one gravimetric pick & decision dispense of compounds from μg to mg. The technology is based on Chemspeed’s proprietary overhead gravimetric dispensing tool design combined with a second analytical on-deck balance. Disposable glass tips are used to eliminate cross-contamination; these are stored and provided by the SWIN dispenser. SWINs are available in different diameters and can be adjusted according to the desired target amount. A tilt/shake rack is used to loosen and tilt solids prior to pick-up.
