Product DescriptionThe ITGen Babesia Gibsoni Antibody Rapid Test uses colloidal gold immunochromatography (GICA) and a double-antigen sandwich format to detect Babesia Gibsoni antibodies in whole blood, serum or plasma. Antibodies in the sample form complexes with colloidal gold-labeled antigens and are captured at the test line to produce a visible signal, providing qualitative results without specialized equipment.

DescriptionQualitative detection of Babesia Gibsoni antibodies is available within 10 minutes. The test is simple to perform and requires no laboratory instrumentation, making it suitable for veterinary clinics, kennels and field screening. It supports rapid differentiation of acute versus chronic infection and monitoring of treatment response. Babesia gibsoni is a canine hemoparasite that can cause hemolytic anemia and severe disease; this rapid kit offers a high-sensitivity and high-specificity on-site screening solution to complement microscopy and PCR.
How to use?- Confirm kit contents and perform the test at room temperature (15–30°C).
- Open the extraction tube containing buffer and place it on the workstation.
- Use the sample collection bag to absorb whole blood/serum/plasma; ensure sample transfers to the lower chamber without air bubbles.
- Press the upper chamber to transfer approximately 75 μL of sample into the buffer, then cap and mix by gentle inversion until homogeneous.
- Remove the test device from the foil pouch, place on a flat surface, and add three drops (~90 μL) of the mixed sample vertically into the specimen well (S).
Interpretation of ResultsPositive (+): Both C line and T line visible (T line may be strong or faint).
Negative (−): Only a clear C line visible.
Invalid: No colored line in the C region regardless of T line appearance.
