Overview
The SaberVet combo rapid test provides point-of-care screening for canine heartworm antigen and serological detection of antibodies against Ehrlichia spp., Babesia spp. and Anaplasma spp. It is designed to support veterinary diagnosis, triage and disease management in clinical and field settings.

Clinical context
Canine heartworm (dirofilariosis), ehrlichiosis, babesiosis and anaplasmosis are prevalent vector-borne diseases in dogs that can present with systemic signs such as fever, lethargy, anorexia, weight loss and anaemia. Transmission occurs via arthropod vectors: mosquitoes for heartworm and ticks for Ehrlichia, Babesia and Anaplasma. Early detection aids timely treatment and control measures.
