Product overviewThe Lyme Antigen Rapid Test is a rapid, qualitative immunoassay designed for the detection of Borrelia burgdorferi antigens in ticks collected from dogs. This kit is intended as a screening tool to identify the presence of Lyme disease-causing B. burgdorferi in ticks, aiding early assessment of potential infection risks to both dogs and humans. Lyme disease is among the most frequently diagnosed zoonotic tick-borne diseases worldwide.

DescriptionLyme disease is caused by spirochete bacteria of the genus Borrelia. In humans, early manifestations include erythema migrans and later may involve neuro-borreliosis, Lyme arthritis and other presentations. In dogs, acute signs can include fever, malaise, lameness, lymph node enlargement and polyarthritis; chronic forms can include neuro-borreliosis. Diagnosis is mainly serological; using this Lyme antigen rapid test, potential B. burgdorferi antigens in ticks can be detected in the field quickly, easily and reliably.
How to use?- Ensure test and operation are at room temperature (15–30°C).
- Open the sample tube and place the collected tick inside.
- Use the extrusion rod to crush the tick in the sample tube.
- Place the sample tube in the workstation. Unscrew the disposable diluent tube and squeeze all diluent into the sample tube.
- Close the sample tube tightly and shake well.
- Remove the test device from the aluminum foil bag and place it on a clean, flat surface.
- Add three drops (about 90 μL) of buffer into the specimen well (S) of the test device.
Interpretation of results- Positive (+): Both C line and T line are present, regardless of T line intensity.
- Negative (-): Only clear C line appears.
- Invalid: No colored line appears in the C region, regardless of T line appearance.
