Product OverviewThe ITGen Canine Heartworm Antigen Rapid Test is a cassette-format lateral flow immunoassay for qualitative on-site detection of adult Dirofilaria immitis antigen in canine whole blood, serum or plasma. Results are visible to the naked eye in 5–10 minutes, enabling rapid screening in clinical and field settings.
Key Features- Double-antibody sandwich chromatographic immunoassay for specific detection of heartworm antigen
- High sensitivity and specificity for reliable on-site screening
- No instrumentation required — suitable for point-of-care use
- Manufactured in China in a CE, ISO 13485 & GMP certified facility

- Buffer tube (extraction tube): 1
- Package insert: 1
Intended UseDesigned for clinical diagnosis and field screening in veterinary clinics, kennels and animal health surveillance programs, particularly in regions with prevalent heartworm disease. Useful for rapid on-site decision-making where microscopy may miss infections and PCR is not practical.
How to use?- Confirm kit contents and bring materials to room temperature (15–30°C).
- Unseal the extraction tube containing buffer and place in the workstation.
- Use the upper air bag to draw the sample (whole blood/serum/plasma); ensure the lower chamber contains sample without bubbles.
- Transfer approximately 75 μL of sample into the buffer by pressing the air bag; mix by closing and gently inverting or jiggling the tube.
- Remove test device from foil pouch and lay flat on a clean surface.
- Add three drops (~90 μL) of the mixed specimen vertically into the specimen well (S) of the cassette.
Interpretation of Results- Positive (+): Both control line (C) and test line (T) appear — presence of antigen detected, regardless of T line intensity.
- Negative (−): Only control line (C) appears — antigen not detected.
- Invalid: No line at C region — test invalid regardless of T line; repeat test.
