The ITGen Canine Adenovirus I Antigen Rapid Test is a lateral-flow immunoassay for qualitative detection of Canine Adenovirus type I antigens in ocular, nasal or oral secretions. It provides a rapid point-of-care screening solution for veterinary clinics and field examinations to support early diagnostic decisions when clinical signs such as fever, vomiting or jaundice are present.

Description (Extended)
The test is designed for point-of-care or field screening to indicate the presence of CAV-I antigens quickly. Results should be confirmed by laboratory methods and clinical assessment when necessary.

How to use?
  • Bring test and specimens to room temperature (15–30°C).
  • Unseal the extraction tube with buffer and place it upright.
  • Collect secretion sample with the swab from the eye, nose or mouth, rotating more than 10 times.
  • Close and mix the buffer tube as instructed.
  • Remove the test device from the foil pouch and place on a clean, flat surface.
  • Add three drops (~90 μL) vertically into the specimen well (S).
  • Read results at 5–10 minutes. Results after 15 minutes are invalid.


Interpretation of Results
  • Positive: Both control line (C) and test line (T) appear (T may be faint).
  • Negative: Only control line (C) appears.
  • Invalid: No control line (C) appears; test must be repeated.
