Description

Overview
The Integral IN 280 XT is a process thermostat with integrated refrigeration and an advanced circulation system designed for dynamic temperature control of external circuits. Operation is via the coloured TFT display on the unit or optionally via an intuitive touch operating unit; browser-based control is available through the integrated web server.

Key features
  • Process thermostat with integrated cooling system for active temperature control of external circuits
  • Fully electronic continuous PID controller for internal and external control
  • Integrated Variopump with selectable output levels or pressure control (max. 65 L/min)
  • Low-level and adjustable over-temperature protection with acoustic alarm; remote fault contact
  • Port for external Pt100 sensor; second external Pt100 possible via interface module
  • Coloured TFT display showing actual & set values and temperature profile graphics
  • USB and Ethernet interfaces standard; upgradable with additional modules (RS232/485, Profibus, analogue, contact, EtherCAT)
  • Programmer: up to 150 temperature/time segments divided into 5 programs
  • SmartCool energy-saving cooling management and PowerAdapt for optimal power use
  • SelfCheck Assistant for system diagnosis; clear-text menu in six languages (DE, EN, FR, ES, IT, RU)
  • Compliant with EU regulation on F-gases (EU) 573/2024 using conventional HFC refrigerants where applicable

Working range & performance
  • Working temperature range: -80 °C to 220 °C
  • Temperature stability: 0.05 ± K
  • Heater power max.: 4 kW; max. power consumption: 9 kW
  • Selected cooling capacity examples: 200 °C / pump level 8 / thermal oil ≈ 1.6 kW; -80 °C / pump level 2 / ethanol ≈ 0.15 kW

Technical data
  • Ambient temperature range: 5 … 40 °C
  • Max. discharge pressure: 3.1 bar; max. pump flow pressure: 65 L/min
  • Filling volume: min. 4.8 L – max. 17.2 L; internal volume optimised with non-thermostated expansion vessel
  • In/Outlet connection thread (outside): M30 x 1.5
  • Dimensions (WxDxH): 560 x 550 x 1325 mm; Weight: 198 kg; Noise level: 63 dB(A)
  • Power supply: 400 V; 3/PE; 50 Hz & 460 V; 3/PE; 60 Hz. Power cord/plug options available

Applications
  • Temperature control for industrial processes, laboratories, pilot plants and R&D
  • Circulation and tempering of heat transfer liquids in external process circuits
  • Processes requiring very wide temperature range and high stability (cryogenic to high-temperature applications)

Options & ordering information
  • Optional touch operating unit with extended functions and remote operation
  • Expandable interface modules (up to 2 additional interfaces) for fieldbus or analogue connections
  • Choice of power cord/plug according to regional requirements; configurable pump control modes
