Orthopedic simulator for training in arthroplasty, osteosynthesis (ORIF), and elbow ligament repairs
The anatomical model of the left human elbow by Nacional Ossos was developed to meet the needs of instructors, students, and professionals in orthopedic trauma who work with prostheses, plates and screws, external fixators, anchors, and arthroscopic techniques.
Ideal for hands-on training, workshops, courses, in-office demonstrations, and distance learning, this simulator allows for the practice of arthroplasty, ORIF of the distal humerus/olecranon/head of the radius, collateral ligament repairs, and tendon sutures with a high degree of realism.
With a detailed anatomical structure and mechanical properties similar to those of human bone, the model features a humerus with cortical bone, cancellous bone, and a medullary canal; solid radius and ulna, connected by elastic filaments that simulate the annular, radial collateral, and ulnar collateral ligaments. It allows for the use of real surgical instruments (for training and demonstration purposes) and can be secured in the clamps of the Nacional Ossos line, enabling multi-axis positioning for working with both hands, just like in the operating room.
