Orthopedic simulator for training in the correction of forefoot, midfoot, and hindfoot deformities
The anatomical model of the Left Foot with Deformities by Nacional Ossos was developed to serve instructors, students, and professionals in Orthopedics and Traumatology who train in the correction of deformities and osteosynthesis using real instruments. Ideal for hands-on training, workshops, courses, in-office demonstrations, and distance learning, this simulator allows for repetitive and standardized practice with a high degree of realism in procedures such as hallux valgus (bunion) correction, treatment of claw toes, and calcaneal procedures (e.g., heel spurs).
Made of solid, rigid polyurethane with anatomical deformities and no articulation, it offers resistance similar to that of human bone for performing osteotomies, arthrodeses, fixation with plates and screws, use of external fixators, and application of anchors. Safe, repeatable, bioethical, and sustainable training.
Model Deformities:
- Hallux valgus (bunion) with medial deviation of the 1st metatarsal and lateral deviation of the great toe
- Claw/hammer toes (deformities of the smaller toes with typical misalignments)
- Hindfoot deformity consistent with calcaneal overload (calcaneal approach scenarios)
- Changes in the plantar arch/midfoot for correction and stabilization training (when applicable to your model)
