Orthopedic Simulator for Training in Ligament Reconstructions and Implant Fixations
The anatomical model of the left knee by Nacional Ossos was developed to meet the needs of instructors, students, and professionals in orthopedic trauma who perform knee surgeries, including ligament reconstructions and fixation techniques.
Ideal for studies, surgical practice, workshops, courses, and demonstrations, this simulator enables repetitive training with a high degree of realism in both in-person and distance learning classes.
With mechanical properties similar to those of human bone, the set consists of the distal portion of the left femur and the proximal portion of the left tibia, featuring a solid structure, connected by simulated medial (MCL) and lateral (LCL) collateral ligaments. It allows for the performance of surgical cuts, drill holes, and fixations using real instruments (plates, screws, anchors, and external fixators), promoting safe, consistent training aligned with best practices in bioethics and sustainability.
In addition to teaching, it also serves as a demonstration model for educational explanations in the clinic and for technical demonstrations at trade shows and conferences.
